National events distracted me today from my usual blog subject matter.
So I sought guidance from the tarot. Specifically, I wanted to hear from the Tarot of the Crone, because the Crone’s voice feels ancient, female, earthy– a no-nonsense truth-teller. And from the Master’s voice of the Osho Zen Tarot, full of breath, reminding me of wider forces, the bigger picture.
Here are their responses—as interpreted by my intuition—to the questions I asked. (If you click on the photos they will open up in another window, a larger and sharper image.)
WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW ABOUT OUR COUNTRY’S SITUATION?
7 of Wands & 17 Star from Tarot of the Crone and 6 of Fire (Success) from Osho Zen Tarot:
The 6 and 7 indicate that we are in “the middle” of the current situation–it will not be over quickly–so we’ll need to learn how to keep our balance over time amidst upheaval.
The situation is hot, volatile, a sense of playing with fire. A time of risk-taking: important to discern which risks are wise and which are foolish. Everyone is being called to decide what is deeply important to them, what they want to work towards. We might remember that even those we disagree with are following what is deeply important to them.
Pay attention to successes, highs not just lows, for there are successes as well as setbacks. But don’t get too attached to either. For the wheel continually turns, and one gives way to the other over and over.
The Star, a cool and powerful influence between the other two cards, reminds us that this situation is much bigger than all of us. This is a transformation that extends beyond the lifetimes of many of us. Mystery, the Unknown, and the Infinite Love of the Universe are working alongside us in this situation. There is so much more out there than we know; we do not act alone.
WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO US?
11 Strength from Tarot of the Crone and 3 Creativity from Osho Zen Tarot:
The power of the Feminine and ancient wisdom is rising, and will continue to rise.
We are all stronger than we know. Marshall that strength and use it in your own unique way. Remember that your body connects Spirit, Heart, Will, and Earth, and speaks to you all the time. Truly inhabit your body, protect it from the virus, tend it, celebrate it, and listen to what it wants to tell you.
Creativity is perhaps the most powerful antidote to fear. Open to what wants to be expressed through you, and do so every day if possible. Anything if done joyfully and lovingly, or that makes you feel green and growing, is creative. Creativity can require courage, because it often involves venturing into the Unknown. Creativity connects us with Mystery and the Divine, so we become agents of Spirit on earth.
What are your interpretations of the cards? How do you seek wise counsel?
