I know I should write you a blog
But I’m finding my mind all a-clog,
World events and at home
Starve my word-making loam,
Even everyday tasks are a slog.
But I color and sing and make art,
Try to listen and tend to my heart.
Though that means I must mourn:
Part of why I’m so worn,
Letting everything flow is a start.
So along with this jot you will find
A few drawings that rested my mind.
Can’t do wisdom today,
But can offer you play,
And a prayer to be tender and kind.
Take gentle care these days.

Delightful! Thanks for brightening my day Anne!
I’m glad it did so Holli!
Your art is more welcome than most of what comes through my email on any given day.
And it’s okay to let what you need to say come through your chalk rather than your pen.
much love to you in this difficult time we are living in.
Thank you Laura! Love and blessings to you too.
Sending you love, Anne. It is amazing that you color, sing and make art through the difficult times – thank you for sharing your strength.
Thanks Claire. I guess it’s like how I never seem to lose appetite when I’m sick or feeling low–and color, song and art are also food for me. You notice I didn’t say the art was GOOD, just that it was soothing.
My heart is with you Anne. Better days ahead.
Thanks! Love to you too!
